Phnom Penh, 13 February 2025 – Royal Railway PLC is proud to announce the successful signing of the Framework Agreement (FA) with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport. The historic ceremony took place this afternoon at 3:00 PM at the Protocol Room, 9th floor of the Ministry’s Office.

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport, representing the Royal Government of Cambodia, formalized the agreement in alignment with the highest remarks from Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister in an official directive dated 31 January 2025. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing railway connectivity and fostering economic growth through improved transportation networks.

The Framework Agreement focuses on expanding and modernizing Cambodia’s railway system, which will play a pivotal role in boosting trade, tourism, and regional integration. By improving rail connectivity, the agreement aims to reduce transportation costs, enhance logistics efficiency, and provide a greener alternative for freight and passenger transport.
