Royal Railway stands proudly behind the "Khmer Rouge Railways: Genocide and Democracy Study Tour for the Youth" organized by the Documentation Centre of Cambodia (DC-Cam) held from March 23rd to 28th, 2024. This initiative offers a critical opportunity for Cambodian youth to learn about a painful period in our nation's history.

The tour immerses participants in the realities of the Khmer Rouge era (1975-1979), revealing how the railways, once symbols of progress, became instruments of mass relocation and suffering. By visiting key locations and listening directly to survivors' testimonies, young people gain a deeper understanding of the atrocities committed.

This journey fosters not only remembrance but also a commitment to democracy. By exploring the role of nonviolence and the importance of peaceful participation, the tour equips youth to build a brighter future based on justice and reconciliation.
